What’s my silver worth? Is it even worth selling? How can I tell what it’s worth? These are just a few of the questions the expert silver buyers at Samuelson’s Buyers will help you answer. We’ve been buying silver for nearly 100 years. Whether it’s jewelry, or sterling silver flatware, we’ve seen it all.
You might have an antique sterling silver tea set that you’ve never used or a Gorham flatware set you inherited. No matter what type of silver you have, we’d like to hear from you. If you’re ready to sell it, we’ll make you a fair cash offer and pay you right away. Or if you’re just curious about what your silver might be worth, we can answer those questions, too.
Before you come visit us, you should know that we’re not open to the public. To sell your silver to one of our certified buyers, you’ll need to make an appointment first. Our focus is on providing a comfortable, safe, private, and secure environment to evaluate your silver. Our buyers will be able to give you their complete attention, answer all of your questions, make a fair offer and pay you right then and there.

What Types of Silver Do You Buy?
At Samuelson’s Buyers, we’ll buy any amount of silver in any quantity or quality. Most of the silver we see comes in the form of 925 sterling silver flatware, holloware and jewelry. We’re always excited to see flatware from Wallace, Kirk, Tiffany, Reed & Barton, and Stieff. But if you have another brand of sterling silver flatware (or other pieces of silver), we’d love to take a look at it, too.

No matter what you bring us, rest assured: we pay more than any other silver buyer in the Washington DC area.
How Do You Determine the Value of My Silver?
Like other precious metals, including gold, silver has a market price (also known as a spot price) that can change from day to day. Your silver’s value may also depend on a few other factors including its age and pedigree.
To help you understand the process, our silver buyers will answer any questions you might have and explain their process as they determine the value of your silver.
Why Sell Your Silver to Samuelson’s Buyers?
We promise that you’ll always feel safe selling your silver to us and that you’ll always be paid in cash on the spot. At Samuelson’s Buyers, we know that selling a valued piece of silver is a decision that is not to be made lightly. That’s why we don’t do things like other silver buyers.
We’re committed to honesty, integrity, discretion, and complete transparency throughout the process.
Our private office is located in a high-end shopping and business district where you’ll feel completely safe. We’re not open to the public and never accept walk-in clients. This ensures that our appointments remain private and secure, and that our buyer will always focus his attention on you and your silver. We don’t rush you and we’ll never pressure you to sell your silver. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities.
We’ve been buying silver since 1922– that’s almost 100 years. In addition to our decades of experience, the Better Business Bureau has given us an A+ rating! Plus, we’ll offer you a better price for your silver than any pawn shop or online silver buyer.
How It Works
We value you and your time. Our expert buyers set aside time just for you. We don’t accept walk-ins, so you’ll never be interrupted. You’ll always have our complete attention focused on you and your silver.
To get started, call us at (301) 718-4825 or request an appointment with one of our expert silver buyers. If you have any certificates of authenticity or supporting documents, please bring those to your appointment– along with your silver, of course.
At our private office, you’ll be greeted by our receptionist and offered something to drink. Then you’ll be guided into a private space where you’ll meet with one of our expert silver buyers. Above all, we want you to feel comfortable. You’ll always be in possession of your silver and it’ll never leave your sight.
Your buyer will ask a few initial questions and will begin examining your silver. He’ll explain what he’s doing in easy-to-understand terms. If you have any questions at all, you’re encouraged to ask. Once the examination is complete, the buyer will make an offer and explain how he reached that figure. Again, feel free to ask for more information or anything else that will make you more comfortable.
If you agree to our offer, we will pay you right then and there. You won’t wait for a check in the mail. If we can’t reach an agreement, that’s okay too. We won’t pressure you to take an offer that you’re not completely satisfied with.
About Samuelson’s Buyers
Samuelson’s Buyers was founded in Baltimore, Maryland by Milton Samuelson in 1922. His son Steve took over the family business in the 1950s. Then in 1990, Ron, Steve’s son, joined the business and opened our Chevy Chase Office. We’ve become known throughout the Washington DC area as a reputable and trustworthy silver buyer over the past 90+ years.
We take pride in a being a little old-fashioned. We want to meet with you, sit down, talk about your silver, make a fair offer and seal the deal with a handshake. We’ll pay you on the spot. You won’t have to wait for a check in the mail and you’ll be dealing directly with us, live and in person.
