About Samuelson’s Buyers

A Family-Owned Business since 1922

Milton Samuelson, circa 1935Founded in 1922, Samuelson’s has remained family owned and operated for over 90 years.  It’s founder, Milton Samuelson, built a thriving retail jewelry business in Baltimore, specializing in providing his customers with outstanding service and trustworthy quality for decades.

Milton’s son, Steve, joined the business and together they continued to expand.  Steve’s son, Ron, continued the passion for diamonds, gold and silver, as well as estate jewelry and watches.

As precious metal prices have continued to climb, the need for a trustworthy and reputable buyer in Baltimore became more and more apparent. Samuelson’s responded, creating an active and reliable buying business within our retail store to serve its many old and new local customers.

As demand across the region continued to grow, we again responded, opening new buying location in Chevy Chase, MD to service our Washington, D.C. customers. Because we have a retail jewelry store in Baltimore we are able to offer more for your items than other DC area buyers.

Another great thing about selling gold jewelry, silver, diamonds, coins, and other items of value to Samuelson’s Buyers is that we have expert jewelers and numismatists in-house that can evaluate your diamonds and/or precious metals accurately so you get the most money on the spot.

Nadav Spiegler, Buyer

Paul Nadav comes to Samuelson’s Diamonds from the Diamond District in New York City, where he learned the trade working for one of Manhattan’s top diamond dealers. He brings his hard-earned skills back home to Baltimore and we are glad to have him!

His knowledge of diamonds and exceptional customer service skills have made him a valuable member of the Samuelson’s Buyers team. His favorite diamond shape is a round, of course, but he loves them all.

When designing an engagement ring, shape, quality and craftsmanship are Nadav’s top priorities. Straight lines and a clean design are what he looks for in bridal jewelry.

When he’s not knee deep in diamonds, Nadav is an avid sports fan and athlete. He plays in soccer and basketball leagues, and his knowledge of pro sports is second only to his expertise in fine jewelry. Whether you’re talkin’ Ravens or rocks, Nadav is the guy to see! Nadav was elected to the executive board of the Pikesville/Owings Mills Chamber of Commerce and lives in Baltimore County with his wife and three young children.

Liz Durbin, Office Manager/Gatekeeper

Liz Durbin Samuelson's Buyers

Liz comes to Samuelson’s Diamonds after earning her degree in business administration from Towson University. From answering phones and selling jewelry to customer service, Liz does it all! Her eye for unique jewelry helps her manage the Samuelson’s Diamonds Etsy page.

Liz’s favorite diamond shape is a mine cut or rose cut diamond. While the round diamond shape is so classic, a vintage cut makes each diamond very unique. Her favorite jewelry style is a simple art deco design with angular shapes and baguette accent diamonds.

When not at work, Liz loves hiking and camping with her dogs at local spots like Loch Raven Reservoir. She also enjoys a good sci-fi movie, too!
